Investment News’ Women to Watch

Held Nov. 7 at Tribeca 360 in New York City, Leslie Samuelrich, president of Midana Capital, attended the Investment News’ Women to Watch awards. These awards recognized outstanding women in the financial industry. Out of hundreds of nominations, she was selected as one of nine top finalists for the Female Trailblazer of the Year category.

Women Advisor Summit

Following the Women to Watch awards, MIDANA CAPITAL joined InvestmentNews to celebrate the women change-making and trailblazing in financial advice and wealth on Nov 8 in NYC. The Women Advisor Summit has harnessed insights from female financial advisors, constructing a comprehensive agenda that embodies female leadership, success stories, inspiration, and trailblazing.

ESG For Impact! 2023

MIDANA CAPITAL was at ESG for Impact! 2023, one of the first sustainably focused investing conferences, on Oct. 8-11th in Broomfield, CO. The event included sessions that covered various socially responsible investing issues, networking opportunities, tips for building your advisory business and more.  

FA Magazine: Invest in Women

Held May 1-3 in Atlanta – President Leslie Samuelrich and VP of Business Development Gigi Norcross attended the FA Magazine’s conference that attracted more than 200 financial advisors from the southeast and around the country.  Samuelrich spoke on the plenary panel “ESG – No Apologies” to explain the differences between the names and strategies of ESG integration, exclusionary screening, shareholder engagement and advocacy and green bonds. 13th Annual Practioners Gathering

Held March 7-8 in Boston - MIDANA CAPITAL’s President Leslie Samuelrich spoke at this Boston event, which covered the formation of a new economy and how each of our institutions can play an important role. This new economy can be shaped by active ownership, transparency-based investment frameworks, disruptive companies, and by equitable financing structures.

FPA National Conference

Held Dec. 12-14 in Seattle – Leading financial planning and investment advisory firms are integrating sustainable and ESG investment strategies into their existing practice management model. MIDANA CAPITAL VP of Business Development, Erin Gray spoke with her fellow panelists about how issues such as climate change, social justice, and corporate reporting and transparency are more important than ever to values-based investors and their financial advisors. InvestmentNews ESG Summit

Held on Dec. 1st, virtually – This 4th annual gathering brought together thought leaders to examine the latest trends and strategies around ESG and impact investing.  MIDANA CAPITAL President Leslie Samuelrich spoke on a panel titled, “Engagement, Active Ownership, and Greenwashing.”  She and her fellow investment industry panelists discussed the record-breaking 2022 proxy season as well as the risks, challenges and opportunities available to effect change through corporate engagements. American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN)

Held Nov. 30 - Dec. 3rd in San Diego – Change-makers across sectors gathered to inform, connect, and mobile business leaders, investors, and policy makers to transform public and private sectors toward a sustainable economy that is stakeholder driven, regenerative, just, and prosperous. Held in late November into early December in San Diego, MIDANA CAPITAL VP of Business Development Erin Gray spoke on panels with leaders from the regenerative and black farming community, state legislators, and green technology field discussing MIDANA CAPITAL’s sustainable agriculture shareholder advocacy engagements and perspectives on supporting, protecting, and advancing ESG and sustainable investing. 

Reuters ESG Investment North America

Held November 1-2 in New York City, MIDANA CAPITAL President Leslie Samuelrich spoke on a panel titled, “Dark Green to Light Green: From Exclusion to Stewardship” where she discussed greenwashing, shareholder advocacy as a powerful tool, and various approaches to ESG and green investing with her fellow panelists. 2022 ESG for Impact! Conference

Held October 23-26th in Colorado Springs -- Socially responsible investors, professionals, leaders and disruptors from around the US gathered in Colorado Springs to discuss sustainable investment options and the controversial conversation surrounding ESG terminology.

US SIF 11th Annual Conference

MIDANA CAPITAL was excited to attend and participate in US SIF’s 11th annual conference in New Mexico in June 2022. A marquee event for the sustainable, responsible, and impact investing community gathered industry leaders to discuss developments in ESG investing within the regulatory and investment landscapes, educated new entrants into the field, and provided welcome in-person connection and networking to a vibrant community.
