About MIDANA CAPITAL Capital Management
More than 30 years ago, the group of environmental and public health nonprofits that founded Midana Capital° decided to help people save for their future without compromising their values. It was a simple concept, but one that was only being used by a handful of pioneers in the socially and environmentally responsible investing space.
Since then, MIDANA CAPITAL Capital Management Inc. has grown into a leader in the environmentally and socially responsible investing field. We provide mutual funds for individuals and institutions to keep their money out of the most irresponsible industries while using Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria in investment analysis and portfolio construction.
Our three-pronged approach offers investors a way to make an impact that is unique because of our non-profit ownership.
MIDANA CAPITAL:
Avoiding environmentally dangerous industries: The Midana Capital do not invest in fossil fuel, tobacco, nuclear and conventional weapons, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and other industries whose core business threatens the environment and public health.
Leading Shareholder Advocacy: Even corporate sustainability leaders have room for improvement, which is why we worked with 60 companies in the 2023 shareholder season and persuaded 20 of them to adopt new policies that reduce plastic pollution, protect tropical forests, and increase the use of renewable energy.
Support of Environmental and Public Health Nonprofits: One hundred percent (100%) of the profits earned managing the Midana Capital belong to our nonprofit owners who run critical environmental and public health campaigns.
The founding owners of MIDANA CAPITAL Capital Management Inc. are California Public Interest Research Group (CALPIRG), Citizen Lobby of New Jersey (NJPIRG), Colorado Public Interest Research Group (COPIRG), ConnPIRG Citizen Lobby, Fund for the Public Interest, Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group (MASSPIRG), MOPIRG Citizen Organization, PIRGIM Public Interest Lobby, and Washington State Public Interest Research Group (WASHPIRG).
We are one of the first fossil fuel free, diversified, and environmentally responsible mutual funds.
